Diabetes

Diabetes means flow, and Mellitus means sugar, the increased flow of sugar in the blood called diabetes due to deficiency or diminished insulin effect. It is a chronic condition. Which, in turn, changes many-body systems, especially blood vessels & Nerves.

Causes:-

  1. Obesity
  2. Stress
  3. Heredity
  4. Excess eating
  5. Sedentary lifestyle
  6. Access alcoholism
  7. Age
  8. Chronic infection

TYPES

  1. Insulin-dependent diabetes Mellitus 
  2. Non-insulin-dependent diabetes
  3. Gestational diabetes
  4. Diabetes secondary to other diseases 
  5. Pre-diabetes

SYMPTOMS

  1. Polyphagia ( more higher)
  2. Polydipsia (excess thirst)
  3. Polyuria ( no frequently more)
  4. Unexplained weight loss
  5. Delayed wound healing
  6. Pruritus (infection UTI)
  7. Renal threshold ( more sugar in urine)

SHORT TURN COMPLICATIONS

  1. HYPOGLYCEMIA OR INSULIN SHOCK
  2. KETOACIDOSIS

LONGTERM COMPLICATION:

  1. Retinopathy
  2. Neuropathy
  3. Nephropathy
  4. Atheropathy
